Well another shocker from Geohot, especially to chronic-devteam who are working so hard on Greenpois0n. Remember limera1n??? Well we haven’t heard much from Gehot about it. But he recently updated the limera1n website, where he posted picture, showing what looks like the “limera1n” jailbreak running on an iPhone 3GS, iPad, iPhone 4, and iPod Touch 4. It seems geohot is back and will be releasing this next week. Limera1n will supposedly work on all iDevices.
This is even confirmed by p0sixninja from chronic-devteam, According to him Geohot offered his exploit on Greenpois0n jailbreak, but they wouldn’t make their ETA of this Sunday. The expected release date of Limera1n is Oct 11th, 2010, which is the one year anniversary of the release of blackra1n.
According to a post on the iPhone Wiki, this is not another bootrom exploit, like SHAtter. It uses a low level exploit that came be fixed by a firmware update.
